A total of 75 scientists/cooperators participated in this two-day training programme. Rice production constraints of all the seven rice ecology zones were presented by respective zonal AICRIP cooperators. It was suggested to release non-varietal technologies during Annual Rice Group meetings. The talks by eminent experts covered topics like how to conduct nutrient management trials, physiological trials, organic trials, weed management, herbicide tolerance trial, short term and long term experiments, use of AICRIP intranet, analysis of multi-location data, GIS coupled with GPS, geospatial visualization, technologies upscaling, contingency planning, interface with other schemes and programmes, success stories and scope of agronomic research in AICRIP on Rice.
