Thirty seven hybrids were developed by crossing Fe enriched parents and tested in Intermediate Station Trial. 12 hybrid combinations were found promising and selected for further evaluation. Fifty two hybrids were developed through hybridization of Iron and Zinc enriched parents.

Genetic linkage maps of seven Pearl millet linkage groups based on the F6:7 mapping   population derived from PPMI 683 x PPMI 627 for iron and zinc contents: Seven QTLs for iron and zinc contents for three consecutive years (2014, 2015 and 2016) at Delhi location detected by interval mapping on Pearl millet chromosome 3, chromosome 6 and chromosome 7 in the F6:7 population of the cross PPMI 683 x PPMI 627.
